    • An automated lenticular photographic system includes an interface that permits a user to upload image files and image processing and printing equipment that is in communication with the interface for receiving the uploaded image files and processing the uploaded image files to create an interlaced print image file that is used to produce an interlaced print sheet containing interlaced print images. A pair of registration marks is formed on the interlaced print sheet outside of borders of the interlaced print images. The system also includes a processing station where the interlaced print sheet is aligned with a lenticular lens sheet with a registration system that detects whether the lenticular lens sheet is off-centered and skewed relative to the interlaced print sheet. The system also includes means for controllably adjusting the position of the lenticular lens sheet relative to the interlaced print sheet until proper registration between the lenticular lens sheet and the interlaced print sheet is achieved. The lenticular lens sheet is at least selectively joined to the interlaced print sheet to provide a lenticular product that can be delivered back to the user.

    • A printing system capable of accurately positioning a lenticular array in registration with a rectilinear raster includes a printer that is capable of printing onto a printable surface. The printer has a main support surface on which the printable surface rests. The system further includes a series of raised parallel relief features being spatially formed along a printable substrate that is supported by the main support surface. The raised parallel relief features are raised to a sufficient height above the printable substrate such that when the lenticular array is disposed upon the raised parallel relief features, each raised parallel relief feature fits and is disposed within a valley formed between two respective adjoining lenticules of the lenticular array.

    • In one embodiment of the present invention, a process for making a lenticular card includes the steps of: (a) providing a transparent sheet having a first planar side and a second side having a lenticulated region; and (b) forming a printed image on the first planar side. The printed image is formed from a plurality of inks including a first set of ink layers and a second ink layer that is disposed on the first set of ink layers and is located a greater distance from the first planar side. The first set of ink layers are formed from a first family of inks, while the second ink layer is formed from a second family of inks that has a different cure process compared to the first family of inks. The outer ink layer is a solvent-based continuous white topcoat, while the first set of ink layers that underlie the second ink layer is defined by a plurality of UV curable inks.
